This pressed sesame oil is made from roasted sesame seeds that are mechanically pressed to extract the oil, without chemical solvents, preserving a deep, nutty flavour. The "koikuchi" (dark) style is made from more deeply roasted seeds for a richer colour and stronger aroma.

Use it as a finishing oil rather than a frying oil: drizzle over stir-fries, noodles, dumplings and salads for a strong roasted-sesame aroma.
