Tasting Notes +

Australia's most celebrated wine, the 2019 Grange is a towering, richly layered Shiraz from Penfolds' finest Barossa and South Australian parcels, matured in new American oak for a wine of extraordinary depth and ageing potential.

Sourced 82% from Barossa Valley with the balance from McLaren Vale, Coonawarra and Clare Valley, the 2019 Grange opens with ripe black cherry, maraschino cherry and framboise, unfolding into date-nut bread, salted dark chocolate, marzipan, dried olive, green peppercorn, coffee and cardamom. The tannin structure is vast, promising decades of development.
