Born from a famously low-yielding vintage, Opus One 2008 is a Napa Valley Bordeaux-blend icon that is marvellous now yet built for the long haul.
Aromas of rose petals, cassis and black cherry combine with notes of marzipan and sandalwood. A satin texture envelops smooth, round tannins and bright acidity, giving a juicy, elegant mouthfeel with a long finish showing traces of clove and dark chocolate. Extreme weather in 2008 produced Opus One's smallest yield to date, concentrating the fruit.
