MULTIGRAIN RICE MIX 1kg - 国産十六穀米 1kg

This is a domestically-grown (kokusan) 16-grain mix designed to be cooked together with white rice, a style of eating known in Japan as zakkokumai. It typically combines grains and seeds such as barley, black rice, red rice, brown rice, millet, sorghum, and barnyard and foxtail millet.

Cooked rice takes on a nuttier flavour, chewier texture, and speckled appearance from the mix, along with added fibre, vitamins, and minerals compared with plain white rice. A small proportion of the mix is stirred into raw rice before cooking as normal.
