Tasting Notes +

A First Growth built for the very long term, Chateau Mouton Rothschild's 2006 is firm, classic and still stoic - powerful, concentrated and tannic, with critics recommending patience well into the 2030s and beyond.

The blend expresses a complex, intense array of aromas combining bilberry and milky notes with the toasted character - blond tobacco, incense, toasted hazelnut - of judicious oak. A brilliant, well-defined bouquet of blackberry, minerals and graphite leads into a precise, harmonious attack, prolonged by fresh, crisp and richly flavoured tannins, with a full, creamy and powerful palate.
