Masseto 2011

Masseto is Italy's most celebrated single-vineyard Merlot, and the 2011 vintage is considered one of the estate's exceptional years.

A powerful and intense nose offers loads of blackcurrants, toasty oak, fresh herbs, smoke, green capsicum and dark chocolate. The full-bodied palate delivers intense ripe dark fruit with refined, firm tannins and real opulence, alongside coffee and vanilla aromas leading to sweet plum and black cherry flavours, with leather, tobacco and iron notes adding complexity.
