Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2011

The eleventh annual Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release, showing the classic peat, seaweed and brine profile of the series alongside a more phenolic, spiced character.

Peat, seaweed, brine and citrus meet leather, ginger and rich barley on the nose; the palate is very smoky with bonfire toffee, cold ash and aniseed bitterness, finishing long and oily with cocoa and pear.
