Domaine de la Romanee Conti Richebourg 1994
Details +
DRC's Richebourg combines the silky character of neighbouring Romanee-Conti with the firmness of La Tache, and the 1994 is regarded as the most complete and balanced of the Domaine's reds from that vintage.
Pure, clean and very intense, the wine shows toasted bread, grilled meat, blackberry and black cherry flavours, with impressive structure, well-integrated tannins and a long finish. An intriguingly spicy nose of red cherries and earth is matched by bright, slightly tart acidity and grippy tannins, giving a sumptuous wine with real power and stamina.
