Bollinger RD 2002
Details +
Bollinger RD 2002 is a late-disgorged prestige cuvee from an outstanding Champagne vintage, aged on its lees far longer than a standard release for extra depth.
Deep golden and clear with a fine mousse of tiny bubbles, the nose is big with toast, orange citrus and slight nutty notes, opening to burnished lemon curd, patisserie, apricot and yellow plum. The palate is deep and complex, showing toast, char and peach alongside cushy meringue and roasted hazelnut, structured by firm, steely acidity and a chalky buzz; showing obvious, well-integrated age, it has worn very well.
