Latour 2001

A First Growth from one of Pauillac's most refined vintages, Chateau Latour's 2001 is now mature and celebrated by The Wine Advocate as one of the finest wines of the year - not the most powerful Latour, but one of the most controlled and refined.

The 2001 Latour shows an exquisite bouquet of blackberry, sloe, cedar and mint, with roasted plum, currant, graphite and smoky oak. The palate is medium-bodied with precise tannins, white and black pepper, clove and tobacco - spicy, juicy and beautifully poised. Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate found it surprisingly open-knit across multiple tastings from bottle.
