Chateau Cheval Blanc 1967 is a rare, historic Saint-Emilion first growth, now well past half a century old and a fascinating window into mature claret.

Showing a burgundy colour at its core fading to light brown, orange and pale at the rim, the wine reveals an aged bouquet of preserved plums, earthy oak, tobacco leaf and old cedar wood, with a faint whisper of sous-bois in the background. The palate is silky smooth with no aggressive tannin remaining, medium-bodied, with red fruit slowly emerging and a clean, extended finish.
